OUR GRAVE MAINTENANCE SERVICES:
Granite, being the hardest of all the natural stones, is very difficult to scratch or etch, with deep scratches usually needing repair by granite restoration. Restoration includes chemical cleaning or mechanical resurfacing to return it to its former pristine condition.
Marble is a natural, porous stone that can be repaired by professional re-facing, re-lettering, or resurfacing, bringing it back to its natural state. We do not use acid or chemicals as these can cause damage to the surface of the memorial.
GOVERNANCE BY CEMETERY/CHURCHYARD LAWS
There are strict rules and regulations regarding the design and content of the memorials erected for loved ones. We must first seek permission through the systems we have in place before a memorial can be erected.
The laws are stipulated by the local City Council, or the Religious Bodies of the Church concerned. The entire process is overseen by the legal officer.
Governance covers the following aspects:
• The type of fixing used under 'Health and Safety Law'
• Colour of the memorial must be in keeping with the church as some churchyards will not allow strong colours
• Sizes must be within the maximum stipulated measurements
We can assist you in all the above matters and ensure that the necessary paperwork is completed on time.
